Failure to accurately locate pipelines results in nearly $30 billion in underground utilities damages in the US each year. Use of tracer wire to locate pipelines can be effective, but not all tracer wire is created equal, and when not implemented properly, damages can still occur. This course covers the science and application of locating wire systems for effectively detecting and protecting underground pipelines. Attendees will learn installation, troubleshooting, and the importance of accurate location identification for safety and damage prevention.
