PNWS-AWWA 2026 Section Conference

This year’s PNWS-AWWA Section Conference brought water professionals from across the Pacific Northwest to our backyard—right here in Tacoma, Washington. Here are a few things that made the week meaningful for our team:

Connecting with Old and New Friends

One of the best parts of the conference was the opportunity to make new connections and see so many familiar faces throughout the week.

We appreciated everyone who stopped by the booth, connected after our sessions, or took time to catch up in the hallways and on the streets of Tacoma. It was especially rewarding to run into engineers, operators, and distributors we’ve had the opportunity to work with over the years through projects, training sessions, or field work.

PNWS-AWWA was a great reminder that this industry is built on relationships. We’re grateful to be part of it.

Sharing Technical Knowledge

Our team had the opportunity to lead four presentations during the conference:

  • Reducing Frustration: Six Key Features of Pressure Reducing Stations — Robert Velasquez

  • Sound Strategies: Pipe Condition Assessment and Water Loss Prevention Techniques — Ray Velasquez

  • Protect Your Pipes: Key Components of an Effective Locating Wire Solution — Patrick Miller

  • What the Flush: Advanced Water Quality Monitoring and Condition Mitigation — Ray Velasquez

A big part of what we enjoy about this industry is helping equip water professionals with practical knowledge and solutions they can apply in the field. We’re thankful for the opportunity to share what we’ve learned and to learn from others as well.

Manufacturer Partners at the Booth

We were also glad to have several manufacturer partners spend time with us at the Cimco-GC Systems booth throughout the conference.

Chad Thompson from Copperhead Industries joined us for the debut of our Copperhead locating putting demo that drew plenty of attention and conversation on the show floor. We also enjoyed introducing Monte Roberts from Cla-Val and Richard Rocha and Allen Garcia from Val-Matic to several customers.

We appreciate our partners taking the time to be part of the conversations and relationships. It’s great for engineers and end users to connect directly with the people behind the products and solutions.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s conference such a positive experience. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
